Why I Share So Much Publicly: The Calling to Speak Out
Years ago, the Lord called me to the mission field, but it wasn’t to distant lands or foreign shores. It was a calling right here, in the midst of my everyday life. As time unfolded, His purpose for me became clear: He saved me, healed me, and commanded my soul to awaken and arise.
I was called not just to live in the light of His truth but to speak out, to comfort, and to break the stigma that holds so many in silence. The darkness that once enveloped me has no power where His light shines, and now, that light must be shared with others.
The lyrics of “A Sound Mind” resonate deeply with this journey:
"You saved, healed, delivered me
Jesus' blood wash over me
Command my soul awake, arise
Use each breath to prophesy
I prophesy"
I share because it’s what He’s called me to do. I share because there are others who need to hear that they are not alone in their struggles. It’s not about being perfect—I'm far from that—but about pointing to the One who is. Every time I “overshare,” what you don’t see is the inbox that floods with messages from people who are no longer in the dark, who feel a little less alone.
This is my inheritance:
"A sound mind for the spirit of fear
A sound mind so that I can see clearly
A sound mind, Your Spirit is here
A sound mind, a sound mind"
I’ve been given a sound mind, and with it, the command to use each breath to prophesy, to speak life into the places where darkness has taken hold. Friends, the light that shines in me is the same light that can shine in you. When we share our stories, when we step into the light, the darkness loses its power. Together, we find comfort, strength, and the courage to keep moving forward.
So, I share—not to reveal my own strength, but to reveal His. I share to comfort others with the comfort I have received. And most importantly, I share to remind you that you are not alone.
If my story and the mission resonate with you, I invite you to help me shine light into the future. You can do this by sharing what I do with others—tagging friends, spreading the word, and most importantly, joining our app.
You don’t have to be directly connected to the military community to be a part of this mission. Come join the “Supporters” channel in our app, where we’re fostering conversations around breaking the stigma surrounding mental health. This is a space where you can gain the tools and knowledge needed to help someone in need, whether it’s a friend, a family member, or even yourself.
Together, we can lift the darkness, one shared story at a time. Your support matters—let’s make a difference, together.
