A Legacy for His Glory: My Spiritual Journey Through Uncertainty

I’ve been diagnosed with congestive heart failure, and every day I witness my heart’s wild fluctuations—from a resting 95 BPM to 130 in seconds, plummeting just as quickly.
Standing or sitting can send my heart rate swinging up or down by 15-40 BPM. At times it’s like I can feel my heart straining, and when I check the monitor, I see it dropping fast.

But amidst these physical struggles, my focus remains clear. I am intentionally striving to leave a legacy, to make a mark on this world that points directly to Jesus.

Every moment I’m given is a chance to share His love, to comfort others with the comfort I’ve received, and to break the stigma surrounding struggles like mine.

Why I Share So Much Publicly: The Calling to Speak Out

I share because it’s what He’s called me to do. I share because there are others who need to hear that they are not alone in their struggles. It’s not about being perfect—I'm far from that—but about pointing to the One who is. Every time I “overshare,” what you don’t see is the inbox that floods with messages from people who are no longer in the dark, who feel a little less alone.

Maturing in a Tight-Knit Military Community

In this line of work, I’ve encountered situations where not sharing my side of the story was the most mature choice I could make. It’s never easy to stay silent, especially when it would be so simple to set the record straight.
